Biography
Beginnings with Yellow Submarine and Team Spirit
Yatoro began his professional career in 2019, playing in various small tournaments in his region such as Epic Origins League Season 1 and Isolation Cup. He joined Yellow Submarine in 2020, which was in the process of being rebuilt with relatively-unknown talent. The team became one of the most promising in the region during COVID-hit 2020, including 4th in DOTA Summit 13 Online: Europe & CIS, and the roster was eventually signed by Team Spirit.
Struggles in 2022
The following season, Team Spirit continued to showcase themselves as one of the strongest teams in the world, although international performances became more mixed, with second at Riyadh Masters 2022 and 1st at the Arlington Major 2022 balanced by 9th-12th at ESL One Stockholm 2022. Although fancied to at least go far in The International 2022, Team Spirit struggled for consistency, tying each of their Group Stage series except for a win against Entity and a loss to Tundra Esports, meaning they would start in the Lower Bracket in the Main Event. Team Spirit were eliminated by BOOM Esports in decisive fashion, notably with skem having shaved his head in homage to Yatoro. skem was not alone, with Panda and Arteezy also trying the ritual, with Panda winning his next series but Arteezy not doing so.[3] The International 2022 was won by Tundra Esports, all sporting hair.
Return to dominance
The next season, Yatoro had a new teammate with Larl replacing TORONTOTOKYO. While the team started the season slowly, they picked up speed in the second half of the season, with crushing wins in Riyadh Masters 2023 and DreamLeague Season 21. As one of favourites to win the tournament, they went 8-0 in the Group Stage, and reached the Grand Final through the Upper Bracket. In the Grand Final against Gaimin Gladiators, Yatoro once again shaved his head,[4] and was near-untouchable in the series, which they won 3-0, with Yatoro becoming a two-time International winner.
Valve announced the end of the Dota Pro Circuit after The International 2023. Team Spirit missed the first major tournament, ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, due to health reasons on one of their players. Team Spirit started the season slowly as a result, with mixed performances in Elite League Season 1 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. However, they bounced back with wins in PGL Wallachia Season 1 and 1win Series Dota 2 Summer. Their performances earned them a direct invite to Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024.
In July 2024, he changed his name to "Raddan", meaning "Rain All Day, Dota All Night", and a reference to the character Radahn from Elden Ring.[5] He said it was not a permanent change, but he just wanted some variety
